Bill Adkins was an active duty US Marine for nine years, is a Viet Nam Veteran,
and Combat Aircrewman. Bill also holds a private pilots' license and is a Life
Member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He has been participating in
model aviation since his tenth birthday in 1956 when he received a WenMac .049
U-Control airplane that his father promptly crashed. Many years and lots of model
aircraft later, Bill is still flying and is enjoying model aviation at it's best.
